Description
Our client is seeking an associate with 4-8 years of relevant experience to join their Fund Formation & Investment Management (FFIM) Practice Group. The preferred location for the position is Boston, with consideration for candidates in Chicago, Dallas, New York, or Washington DC, and potentially other office locations based on business needs and experience. The FFIM practice group provides comprehensive services to GPs and LPs, understanding the business objectives, dynamics, and trends of the private funds industry. Qualified candidates must have solid experience in fund formation and investment management, including fund and management structuring, negotiating with institutional investors, secondary sales of LP fund stakes, and GP-led fund restructurings. Additionally, candidates must have Investment Advisers Act registration and compliance experience and a working knowledge of the Securities Act as it relates to private investment funds. The ideal candidate will possess excellent document drafting skills, the ability to manage complex projects, and strong interpersonal skills. A JD from an ABA-approved law school and active membership in the Massachusetts Bar are required.
